Over the past year, we’ve seen an explosion in the number of virtual reality(VR) headsets looking to stake a claim for our eyeballs. But for any of these to succeed, there needs to be VR content to immerse ourselves in. Nokia is hoping to fill this burgeoning need with Ozo, the world’s first commercially available VR camera aimed at content creation profession

With a spherical form-factor, the Ozo looks similar to some panoramic cameras, like the Squido and Panono – or a training remote for sharpening your lightsaber skills. However, with its ability to capture stereoscopic 3D video and audio thanks to the eight synchronized global shutter sensors and eight integrated microphones that dot the device’s surface, the Ozo boasts real-time 3D viewing capabilities. This means the time-consuming stitching process common to other panoramic cameras is avoided.Nokia says content filmed with Ozo will be compatible with commercially available VR headsets, such as Samsung’s Gear VR, and will slot into existing professional workflows thanks to compatibility with existing third-party content-creation tools. Palo Alto-based VR production company Jaunt Studios pledged its support for the device through its post-production services.”We’re thrilled to introduce Ozo to the content creation world, and to define a completely new category of virtual reality capture and playback solutions,” said Ramzi Haidamus, president of Nokia Technologies. “Ozo aims to advance the next wave of innovation in VR by putting powerful tools in the hands of professionals who will create amazing experiences for people around the world. We expect that virtual reality experiences will soon radically enhance the way people communicate and connect to stories, entertainment, world events and each other. With Ozo, we plan to be at the heart of this new world.”With the device not set to ship until the fourth quarter of this year, Nokia says it will reveal full specifications and pricing details at a later date.

Motorola Moto G third-gen likely to launch on 28 July; waterproof, with 2 GB RAM

Its a cool looking and even waterproof phone by MOTOROLA stay tuned

A few days ago, Motorola had sent out invites for an event on 28 July. While most have anticipated that it will be the Moto G (third gen), new details of the upcoming smartphone being imported to India have now been found.

According to a report by MobileSyrup, new images of the device have also been leaked. The report adds, “There are some key improvements over last year’s model. The LTE-enabled Moto G 2015 will come with a 1.4Ghz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor, a 13MP camera with dual LED flash, a 5MP front-facing camera, and a 2,470 mAh battery. New for the Moto G series is IPx7 water resistance, which should allow slight submersion and rain or moisture exposure. The device is also expected to have a 5-inch 720p display and 1GB of RAM.”
According to import shipment tracking site Zauba, consignments of the Motorola XT1550 have arrived at Chennai air cargo. The quantity according to the report stands at a little under 50,000 units. The specifications are a mix of 8GB and 16GB variants of the device, with either 1GB or 2GB RAM. The unit retail price mentioned in the shipment records (not to be confused with retail selling price) is mentioned as Rs 9582, and Rs 10359 for 1 GB and 2 GB RAM version, respectively.

Earlier, Motorola had sent out invites for its event slated for 28 July. The company is expected to launch the rumoured third iterations of Moto G and Moto X.

The event will be held in New Delhi, alongside events in London, New York and San Francisco. The event will be first held in India at 3:30PM, followed by Sao Paulo, New York and London. The company has also setup amicrosite for the event.

The India invite reads, “A good friend will offer you their umbrella. A best friend will forever be ready to dance in the rain with you.” The other invites are also along the ‘relationship’ lines.

Motorola Tracks Air By Sol Republic

We’ve seen plenty of Bluetooth hardware with dual modes, dual channels, dual micsand even dual sub-woofers, but dual device connectivity? That’s a little less common. It’s a feature on the new Tracks Air headset from Motorola and SOL Republic, and it means you can listen to music or a movie on your tablet while still being able to receive a call from your mobile, rather than being forced to pair with just one or the other. Tracks Air comes at a cost of RS 8990/- which is a bit high, but they’ll bring a bunch of other practically-minded specs, including a 150-foot range that could, according to the guys at SOL, potentially let you leave your phone in the gym locker while you listen to it on the treadmill (although we imagine a huge number of factors and reinforced concrete walls might get in the way of that). Battery life is claimed to be 15 hours, but there’s a back-up cable so you’re not left stranded on long journeys, and the “PowerTracks” headbands will be interchangeable with future colors and styles coming soon “It Will Is EXCLUSIVELY AVAILBLE ON *FLIPKART .COM”
